About Lisa & Photo Gallery
Hi there!
My journey with yoga began when I decided, out of curiosity, to take a yoga class offered at a strength-training gym I managed back in 2004. I was hooked. I continued taking classes while I bounced around life and locations, varying my practice through power, pilates, yin, partner, laughing, vinyasa, pre-natal, post natal, mommy-and-me... Throughout any of these phases in my life, yoga was my thread that kept me grounded. It connected my mind, body and spirit in a way that left me feeling centered and whole, like everything was okay even when the world was swirling around me. I finally decided that it was time that I share my years of experience and grow my personal practice by taking a Yoga Alliance certified 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2019 through healixyoga under the skilled guidance of integrative yoga therapist and teacher Emily Wiadro. My training is Vinyasa flow based with roots from therapeutic yoga. I have also had training in chair yoga, embodied mindfulness, polyvagal theory for pain and trauma, and yoga for athletes. Welcome to the world, Within Reach Yoga! I decided on the name "Within Reach Yoga" because not only is yoga about physically reaching while in poses, but, truly, it's about reaching within to that sparkling inner divinity that's inside of all of us. And because the poses can be modified to suit anyone's personal edge, it is fully accessible... within reach; waiting for you. I like to wrap a little of everything into my classes (strengthening and lengthening muscles, powerful visualizations, mindfulness energy and breathwork). It is within your reach. Reach within and see how yoga can help you reclaim and restore a balanced wholeness; a harmony that connects you with the abundance of love you have in your heart. I hope to practice with you soon! Love & Light, Lisa PS - When I'm not doing yoga, you can find me doing graphic design work for local and nationally recognized brands via my design business New Leaf Creative. Or, filling my heart with love by spending time with my two kids, husband and dog. |
